God's way of putting everything into place [also known as "FLY"]

Dear Friends,

I'm back from "FLY"!! It was such a blessing. I was so pumped about last week!!
Thank you for taking the time to read my post.



Day 1: Sunday


I get all my last minute checks and re-assure my bag and me and my family drive to my church. 'Grace Free Lutheran'. I waited for a couple minutes and Alex and Jake pull up with some of their friends: Matt, Mitchel, Drew and Nick. We spent the next half-hour, throwing the football around, drinking water, praying and for the last part of it; waiting.

Finally! a white and silver bus [about fifty feet long] comes bulking into this large parking lot.
We board and I get to sit by Jake on the bus! For the most part, the bus ride is fun. You get to talk, eat, laugh, eat some more, stop and stretch your legs and then eat a little, too. For dinner[I think it was dinner?] I went to Mcdonalds {'I'm lovin' it'} because it was cheap and, yeah, it was cheap, yet, good and flavorful in a greasy, fatty kind of way.

The night was Heaven compared to the day we went back. [which I will explain later] I slept 7 or 8 hours and yeah, I wasn't used to that little of sleep. I got up at about 4 or 5 in the morning. OH YEAH!! The night of Sunday there was this guy on the bus [His name was Mark] who was soooo annoying!! It was unbelievable!! *wince, grimace, knees knock in rythmic motion* He yells when he talks, he has greenish brown eyes and an a "not yet" uno-brow. Oh, and he also had black hair. and, which was really gross, he flirted with the other girls.


This is Rachel, Hannah [not you Hannah [M] but this other Hannah], Emily, Kara & Ali. *makes bad and annoying hee-hees* None stop giggling. *grimace* it turns to night and its not funny anymore. I go up there and say, 'You guys really need to be quiet.'


'We are quiet!'

Oh, sure you are.

They don't listen to me and I give up. But in the back of my mind I thought, 'Whatever goes up must come down' Their hiper now but soon they will fall. *laughs an evil laugh*


I was right! Ha-ha!!



I get my 7 or 8 hours of sleep.


Day 2: Monday

On the way to FLY we arrive at this awesome town called Estes Park. We have like three hours to 'shop til' we drop' [wow, that doesn't sound right] and we, me al and jake went around the town going into various stores. Me and Alex went into this one store that had hilarious postcards. One was called 'Good hunting, bad timing' and there was this guy holding a roll of toilet paper and has threatening look on his face and is staring at a buck. And this other one says 'Playing "Kick the Can" with Dad and there's these two kids kicking the Port/a/potty and the Dad is leaning out the door yelling at them!! *puts hand on head and laughs*

We arrive at they "FLY" at 2:00pm on Monday. THE FLY CONVENTION BEGINS!! 'Let it begin, let it begin!' Rhino.


The YMCA Housing Opens at 4:00 and we get our stuff into the room. 5:30 we have supper, can't remeber what it was. [sorry] We have an awesome sermon by Pastor Wade Mobley at 7:00.


Let me tell you this; Wade Mobley was Awesome!! 'You are legendary!' Rhino (I love quoting Rhino!)


We sing some songs at 9:00 have our devos and go to bed.



Day 3: Tuesday


This was probably the best day of my life. I am going to say this simply, I came to know the real Christ. Everybody who is reading this accepted Christ into their life. I believed in Christ, yet I didn't put my entire life out there for God. That night, July 7, 2009 pastor Eric Ludy shared a firey message and I asked myself, 'Am I really following you?' and right then and there I, Ryan Lee Jones, 12 year old boy, accepted Jesus to take over my life. I am no longer controling my body, God is. When I was praying, emotion thrived in and out of my mind and body. All the way back to my dorm I cried. PURE JOY WAS LIVING IN ME! I got to the halls and Steve [my counselor] was there. I looked at him and said plainly, "I'm saved" and I fell into his arms and he prayed over me. I felt safe! Long live Jesus!!



To tell what happened the entire trip would take days. so I'm gonna put it into my p.s.'es





p.s. Me, Jake, Alex, and Caleb Holt singed up for the Basketball tournament and we got third.

p.s.s. Jake and Caleb Holt accepted Jesus into their lives and I think Alex took a couple more steps in his faith as well!!!!! The four friends of Christ!! HAH!

p.s.s.s. The food was great!!

p.s.s.s.s. The trip back from Colorado was horible! I think I was sick! I had a headache and my throat hurt. and it doesn't help that the girls were giggling the entire time!
