Prayer brings Blessings

We all know that prayer brings blessings, but have you seen it in action? I have.
As some of you guys know the "FLY" convention in Colorado is this year. A few months ago, I read my devotions and in it giving freely with a cheerful heart and not expecting anything back, I prayed about and for Church I gave a gift of money. My devotion also said that if you give freely you will be rewarded one day. That's when the prayer part of the picture comes in. I have been praying that I can raise money for "FLY", but I didn't know how I would do that. Because our neighborhood, really isn't a neighborhood that gives children jobs to do for money. My awesome Dad thought of an idea to send letters too my Grandparents on my Mom's side and my Dad's side for financial help for "FLY". I kept on praying and I really felt like God wanted me to go and grow more in HIM by going to "FLY". All my letters were sent and I waited. Finally I got the my first letter from my Great-Grandma LuVern. She provided $100 dollars for "FLY" I was amazed at how generous she was and it was like God tugged at her heart just at the right moment. I got another letter today from my Gramma and Grandpa Monseth. She's here babysitting us today. I opened the letter, read the generous words slide off the page and they provided $150!! See what prayer can do!! I went to my Gramma and said, 'Thank you' I was in shock, 'Are you sure?'

She said something like this, 'God has wanted us to give this.' I hugged her twice and went upstairs to tell my Mom about the amazing gift.

We were both in shock, but I don't think we should have been shocked because somewhere we knew that God would provide and he did immensely!

P.s. perhaps God will give more gifts for "FLY" from that last letter that I sent to my Gramma and Grandpa Jones. Do you think he will?
